Dr. Mark Shaw
Dr. Mark A. Shaw earned his bachelor’s degree in Health Management Systems and Pre-Health from Duquesne University. He then continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his DMD. Dr. Shaw is completing a pediatric dental residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, and is beginning private practice in the area. Dr. Shaw strives to increase awareness and dental education of his parents to prevent caries and oral disease. He restores his patients to good health. Dr. Shaw prevents fear in his patients, especially children, as this has a positive effect on them throughout their lives. Dr. Shaw attends lectures and courses throughout the year to increase his knowledge and skills to provide the best care for his patients. He is a member of the ADA and the AAPD.

Dr. Shaw grew up the third of four boys. Dr. Shaw got married in Charlottesville, where his wife’s parents have lived for over seven years. He and his wife have an awesome mini Australian Labradoodle named Ava. Dr. Shaw is a huge fan of all things Canadian, as he is from Canada. He is a Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He loves camping and is learning to fish. Dr. Shaw also enjoys cooking and is learning to bake bread.
